Coffee cake


  • Strong Mamis Caffè Gran Crema: 1/4 litre (approx. 6 cups)
  • Butter: 150 g
  • Eggs: 1
  • Flour: 400 g
  • Sugar: 200 g
  • Vanilla sugar: 1 packet
  • Baking powder: 1 packet
  • Lemon zest: to taste
  • Icing sugar: to taste


First prepare a strong espresso (approx. 6 cups). Melt the butter in a small saucepan at low heat and stir it in a large bowl with the sugar and egg until frothy. Now add the flour mixed with baking powder, vanilla sugar, lemon zest and coffee. Pour the dough into a greased baking or cake tin and bake in the preheated convection oven for at least 45 minutes at 175°. Use a clean knife or wooden stick to check if the cake has been baked and allow it to bake for another 10 minutes if necessary. So that the coffee cake looks really delicious, you can dust it with some icing sugar when cooled down. And now you can finally enjoy your juicy, soft Mamis Caffè coffee cake!
